3. Now open CMD Application in "run as administrator" mode.

4. Type in CMD "chkdsk g: / f" (without the quotes).

Change g according to the drive letter you want to change

g is your Drive Letter change. (eg my flash on Drive g). "chkdsk g: / f" works for Checks the disk for errors and automatically corrects them.

5. Run the command "Convert G: / FS: NTFS" (without the quotes and G is drive letter flash / hard disk on your computer),

6. The Command Prompt will execute the command and start Convert FAT32 to NTFS No Format. Wait until the Convert FAT32 to NTFS   finished.

7. Done, now you can check the "properties" on the flash / hard drive through Properties to find out if the file system has changed to NTFS.

This method also applies the other way around, if you want to change from NTFS back to FAT32. The trick is just to change the code to be like this:

Convert G: / FS: FAT32
